Sensei Tim McMillan
Co-Owner and Head Instructor, Filipino Combative Systems
Sensei Tim McMillan is a seasoned martial artist and educator with over three decades of experience. A retired and supply teacher with the Thames Valley District School Board, Tim dedicated 30 years to teaching and inspiring students.
Tim is a Fifth Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate and has trained and taught at the Olympic Karate Academy for 20 years under the guidance of Professor Mike Donovan. In addition to his achievements in Kenpo Karate, Tim holds advanced rankings in several Filipino martial arts:
- Lakan (Black Belt) Modern Arnis
- Lakan Dalawa in Presas Arnis with the World Modern Arnis Alliance, under the direction of Datu Tim Hartman
- Kadua Guro in Kali Silat Evolution (KSE) under Dakilang Guro Jeff Espinous
Tim is also a former apprentice instructor in Systema, training under Vladimir Vasiliev, and currently serves on the Canadian Board of Directors for the World Modern Arnis Alliance.
Over the years, Tim has gained invaluable experience through seminars led by world-renowned martial artists, including:

Beyond his accomplishments in martial arts, Tim coached elementary school wrestling for 12 years and holds national-level coaching certification.
As co-owner and one of the head instructors of Filipino Combative Systems, Tim is dedicated to fostering excellence in his students, ensuring they become some of the most skilled martial artists the school has ever produced.
